This week I finished off my final Samples for the Stew Exhibition. All I had left to do was to Devore my 3 digitally printed velvet samples, which had to be printed for a second time after an accident with the wrong dye being used on the first lot.
I am disappointed in these samples as the finished effects aren't what I was expecting. Because of this I am not planning on continuing to digitally print onto velvet. To go forward I want to start to experiment with dying the velvet and then using devore and discharge printing to develop my ideas and my exploration of the fabric.
